While the Germans from Audi kept secret A5 Sportback, publishing only one picture with it, a member of the site Fourtitude surprised the new model in its entire splendor during a photo shoot in California.

Although pictures are not very clear, we do however think about how the model will show what will be present and at Frankfurt Motor Show. And even if the front is hidden, it is obvious that the design will be similar if not identical, with the Coupe version. From front to rear, A5 Sportback will have its own identity.
The new Audi A5 Sportback is expected to arrive in showroom in September and will have a starting price of 36,050 euros.

German manufacturer Audi revealed first official pictures and details on the A5 Sportback. Expected to arrive in showroom sites in September of this year, the new model will be the third version of the A5 range, as coupe and convertible.
Designed to be “emotionally and elegant as a coupe, sedan as a comfortable and practical as before, the new Audi A5 Sportback is essentially a coupe with five doors. In terms of size, A5 Sportback will be 36 mm lower than the A4 sedan and will benefit from the Wheelbase 2810 mm.

Initially the new model will be available with two motor petrol and three diesel. The two petrol versions, 2.0 TFSI (211 HP and 350 Nm) and 3.2 V6 (265 HP) will be equipped with Audi’s valve lift and Quattro traction. The range of diesel engines will include units 2.0 TDI (170 HP and 350 Nm), 2.7 TDI (190 HP and 400 Nm) and 3.0 TDI (240 HP and 500 Nm).
The new Audi A5 Sportback will have a starting price of 36,050 euros.

Audi presented at Tokyo Motor Show the Metroproject Concept.

This has a hybrid engine: a 1.4 TFSi engine, with 150 hp and a DSG gear box; and an electric engine that develops 41 hp and 200 Nm for the rear bridge.

Audi Metroproject accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and the fuel consumption is of 4.9 liter / 100 km. So, that means great performance with reduced consumption.

Audi Cross Cabriolet Quattro utilizes the A4 technical platform, but it comes with a lot of innovations and excellent technology. The German constructor wants to conquer a new category of buyers and wants to see the crowd reaction regarding this concept, which is a combination between a cabriolet and a SUV.

Audi Cross Cabriolet accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. It consumes a medium of 7.3 litre (diesel) at 100 km.

The interior is designed for 4 people, comes with latest generation solutions for the navigation system, which, for example is using a combination between Audi software and Google Earth.
The Audio System is an improved variant of the Bang&Olufsen presented on A8 limo. The radio reception is made truth internet, and the user is spoiled with many “custom” functions. For example, on a simple touch of a certain button, the system “understands” what kind of music (or program) the listener doesn’t like and will not select that kind of music (or program) any more.

Cross Cabriolet has a 3 litre TDI engine, which produces 240 hp and 500 Nm, and it respects Euro 6 norms, which should come under vigor in 2014. The performance is unbelievable, if we take in consideration that the car has a Quattro integral transmission. It also has a 6 speeds automatic transmission gear box.

APR Audi R8

The Audi R8 modified by APR was exposed at SEMA Tuning Show, in Michelin stand.

The list with the changes which were brought to this model isn’t available, yet, but I can bet that, besides the optical tuning, there is sure an increased power.

Audi RS4 will disappear?

BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG could have more buyers from their rival, Audi.

Why would this happen?

It seems that there are many rumors which tell that Audi RS4 will be out of production, by the end of 2007.
First out of production will be the Berlin model, then the Avant and then the coupe.
I think this is bad news for fans, which are going to suffer and the only thing that they can do is to buy other models from the same category, like: BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG.
Or, if they can’t renounce of integral traction, the only variants are: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X or Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

We don’t know for sure, but it seems that Audi will re-use RS emblem for the new A4.

The Audi A5 modified by ABT Sportsline has a special body-kit; final evacuation with 4 exits (2+2); 272 hp engine, instead of 240 hp, from the original model; adjustable sport suspension; braking system, with 380 mm discs; AR rims of 18 and 20 inches. Interesting tuning.

Nothelle, the German tuner known by its tuning changes to Audi, created an Audi TT with 520 horse power under its hood.
Nothelle changes are: Nothelle aerodynamic kit, 255/30 R20 tires, 20 inch rims, model NOVEDRA IX, sport arches, better suspension, 3.2 V6 twin turbo engine, 520 hp and 635 Nm, maximum speed of 308 km/h.
